The Réserve de l'Obédience

First, there were a seek for a great white wine with character. A wine with a sense of terroir but also a wine like an artwork. Since 1991, the year of the first vintage, La Réserve de l’Obédience has kept the same spirit: an ultimate Chablis Grand Cru Les Blanchots, without any concession.

The magics of blending

La Réserve de l’Obédience comes from Grand Cru Blanchots in which Domaine Laroche is a major owner. All the characteristics of the terroir are in the grapes that are harvested and sorted by hand. Each plot is vinified and aged separately in barriques, casks or tanks assorting to its style and its potential. In early summer, the blending of La Réserve de l’Obédience takes place. Only the best samples are blended, those with the most obvious finesse and silkiness. The core aim is to stay close to the terroir and to find the ideal wine if there is any: refined, racy, complex and intense but also mineral and able to age for 20 years at least.

The Grand Cru for fine food

From Paris to New York or Moscow, La Réserve de l’Obédience is a wine you can find in the best restaurants of the world. The new wine lover can appreciate the gentle floral fruit and freshness, while the connoisseur can taste the silky mouthfeel and remarkable complexity of Les Blanchots. La Réserve de l’Obédience is both a wine to treat friends and a wine for great celebrations.
